The founder · Four chapters

Started late. Kept score.

Twenty years in uniform, then a full restart into AI. Here's the short version — no montage.

Chapter 01 · 12 years · USMC

The Corps

Twelve years in the Marine Corps. Left as a Sergeant, E-5.

The Corps didn't teach me AI. It taught me the thing under AI: systems. Every mission gets broken into steps, every step gets a check, and nobody cares how you feel about the checklist. You run it anyway.

I led Marines who were smarter than me and Marines who were greener than me, and the system carried both.

Discipline gets sold as motivation's tougher cousin. It isn't. Discipline is what's left when motivation quits — a schedule, a standard, a checklist you run whether or not you slept.

Chapter 02 · 8 years · Police

The badge

Eight years as a police officer.

Police work is pattern recognition under pressure. You read a scene in seconds — what's off, what's missing, who's lying — and then you write it all down, because if it isn't documented, it didn't happen.

Eight years of reports taught me to write exactly what happened and nothing else, which turns out to be most of prompt engineering.

Both skills transferred straight into security work. Spotting the anomaly is the job. Documenting it is the other half of the job.

Chapter 03 · The turn

Starting over

After twenty years of service I started over in AI as an adult — no CS degree, no tech network, no head start.

I'm pursuing a B.S. in AI Engineering at WGU with a specialization in AI security. I built while I studied: automations, content systems, security labs. The degree explains the work; the work came first.

If you think you're too late — I started later than you. The people who "got in early" are mostly still watching tutorials. Build one thing that works and you've passed them.

Nobody's too late. The tools reset the starting line about every six months. What doesn't reset is whether you show up and build.

Chapter 04 · Now

The work

Today Momentum AI Institute is the roof over two things I run.

Momentum AI Community — a $9/month Skool community where entrepreneurs and creators build income with AI. Not "learn AI." Build the specific thing: the automation, the offer, the content system.

OuterWorld Studios — an AI creative direction studio. 11K+ followers on Instagram; the top post did 5.6M views.

Same operating system across both: show up daily, ship the thing, write down what worked.
